Transfer Fee of $10.00 is not charged.

Wheelage Fee is not charged.

If there is a dealer involved, the title fee is a flat $8.25 as of Jan. 1, 2017.

If there is a lien card, the lien card must be with the title in order to sell the vehicle.  The lien holder will be listed on the top left-hand side of the title.

*To transfer motorcycle with title, must have engine # (Year/Make/Model/ Ins.)

**Motorcycle sold as parts is considered junked.  Title would be marked junked to DMV.

**Motorcycle pieces/partially completed motorcycles with no title (is not listed in MNDrive) must be sold as parts

**Complete motorcycles with VIN & engine # with no title (is not listed in MNDrive) must go through process to be registered for a title prior to being sold.

A motorcycle permit is acceptable in the place of a driver’s license copy. Make sure the DL number is shown on the permit.

****Mopeds/Scooters that are over 2 brake & over 50cc would be titled as motorcycles.
