Emergency Vehicles

(Fire / Police / Ambulance / Municipal) (Class D license is required)

Emergency vehicles are title transfers only.

The city will add the appropriate plates on the vehicle (i.e. POLICE).

If plates do need to be ordered, a request on letterhead to the DVS with the number of plates and type needs to be provided by emergency entity to submit with other required paperwork.

Plate fee:

1 plate - $3

2 plates - $6  (front & back)

Plates available 

• Police, Fire, Sheriff, K-9 Unit and McGruff
• Support Our Troops, Remembering Victims of Impaired Drivers, Law Enforcement Memorial available for Police, Fire and Sheriff

No Registration or sales tax fees for emergency vehicles

• Title or MSO
• Fees paid
