Lien Release Date: Please make sure you enter the lien release date directly from the lien release card, letter, form or the information on the out-of-state title. Use the title issued date as the lien release date when you have a clean out-of-state title with no lienholder information listed. Some deputy registrars have noticed dealers incorrectly using the date of the new vehicle purchase as the lien release date.
