Special Plates

If a vehicle is being registered / requires duplicate plates / is transferring special plates, form PS2010-29 – Application for Special Plates needs to be completed.  

Important: If applying for standard collector class plates or the use of original plates do not use form PS2010-29: A PS2000 must be completed in lieu of the special plate application

• Only standard fees for the type of vehicle being registered apply. No additional fees are needed.
• Collector Class fees apply to collector plates
• If personalized plates are being transferred, a signed letter from the seller must accompany the PS2010 form, stating the plates are being given to the buyer.

**If handicap plates are being transferred to a vehicle that was from out of state, tabs must be paid for, even if the handicap plates have current tabs.
