Pre-Auction Procedures
The consignor transports the firearm(s) to K-BID. Firearms must be unloaded with clips removed before K-BID takes possession.
The consignor provides the following information for each firearm:
- Manufacturer/Importer
- Model
- Serial Number
- Type – Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol
- Caliber or Gauge
- Their full name and mailing address
The consignor signs the Consignment Agreement – 20% commission rate. No Reserves.
Staff marks each firearm with the auction id & lot number, noting any additional items sold in the lot (i.e. case, chokes, magazine, extra barrel, etc.) by indicating on the label 1/1 or 1/2 or 2/2 etc.
Firearms and all accessories are photographed and described – the lot description for each firearm must include the detailed information above, as well as the disclaimer below.
A $25 NICs fee is added to the fee section for each firearm.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
When you purchase a firearm make sure you do the following:
1.) Your bidder information MUST match your real name, NO aliases!
2.) If paying with a credit card, the name on the card must match your driver’s license, online payment is not an option.
3.) Your driver’s license, and if needed, your permit to purchase or Conceal and Carry Permit MUST also match your bidder profile.
4.) To buy a black powder firearm, buyer must have a permit to purchase.
5.) A NICS/Transfer charge of $25 will apply to each firearm, no exceptions. 6.) Note: Minimum shipping charge to an FFL is $40.
THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THESE RULES!
Under Federal law, for a Licensed Dealer to lawfully transfer a firearm to a person who resides out of State,
the firearm must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) within the bidder’s State of residence. The bidder may then receive the firearm from the FFL upon completion of an ATF Form 4473 and a NICS background check fee, which can vary from that listed on the final invoice.

Post Auction Procedures – NICS (Form 4473)
- Cashier processes payment for the Firearm(s) prior to doing the NICS check.
- Buyer provides valid Driver’s License to be copied. Handgun purchases require a Permit to Carry OR a Permit to Purchase. Even holders of a Permit to Carry require a NICS check.
- Buyer fills out page 1, Section A of Form 4473 and Sign and Date the top of page 2.
- Cashier puts Auction ID # - Bidder # on top of page1.
- Cashier makes a copy of invoice, DL and if provided Permit to Carry/Purchase.
- Cashier completes Page 2, Boxes 16, 18A and 19A.
- Cashier makes call to NICS:
- Phone Number: 1-877-324-6427

- Codeword: PASSWORD
- Respond to questions as asked
- When they ask for “CADENCE” it means Jr., Sr., III
- If buyer does not provide a SS#, respond with “Not Provided”, when asked
- If buyer does not provide a UPIN #, respond with “Not Provided” when asked
- When asked Type of Firearm – respond with either handgun or long gun.
- When asked for Transaction – respond Transfer/Sale
- NICS will give you a Transaction Number
- ENTER IT IN 19B AS THEY GIVE IT TO YOU
- NICS will either tell you PROCEED, DELAY or DENY – check appropriate box in 19C
- If Proceed – firearm can be released to buyer
- If Delay – NICS will provide a date that you can release the firearm if they do not call back.
*Retain firearm and provide buyer with the release date if NICS does not late Deny.
- If Deny – We will need to sell the gun for the denied buyer.
If a DELAY becomes a PROCEED or times out, release the gun to the buyer and them sign Section C, Box 22 & 23.
Complete form 4473, page 3
Log the transfer in the BOUND BOOK. On the Upper left of 4473 write the Log Book line number and Lot number. File Form 4473 with Invoice copy and DL copy.
Settlement Procedures
Shipping – must get a copy of the FFL prior to shipping.
Reconcile auction income.
Write checks to sellers for the auction proceeds (within 2 weeks of auction closing)
Credit affiliate, if applicable, for 10% referral fee.
